About the project
This is a project that focuses on level design. The standard character controller from Unreal Engine 5 was used.
I had the following specifications for working on this project:
▸ Unreal Engine 5
▸ Simple Gameplay, about two interactions
▸ First Person Singleplayer
▸ Realistic assets
My goal was to create a small level that is self-contained and works well. The main focus was to learn how to use Blueprints in Unreal Engine and to create a good level design for a limited space. The character controller has been deliberately kept standardized.
Approach
The following steps have emerged:
▸ Development of mechanics and level planning
▸ Implementation of mechanics in Unreal Engine via Blueprints
▸ Create and test the level blockout
▸ Select and place Quixel assets
